Getting started

How do I save something to EZ Save?
Two ways. From inside the app, tap the add button and choose a link, photo, video or document. From any other app — Safari, Photos, Files or Mail — tap the system Share button and pick EZ Save from the share sheet, then choose a folder.
How do I create and organise folders?
From your library, create a new folder and give it a name, icon and colour. On the Free plan you can keep up to 3 folders; Pro unlocks unlimited folders. You can rename, recolour and move items between folders at any time.
How do I set up an app PIN and Face ID?
Open Settings inside the app and turn on App Lock. Choose a PIN, then enable biometric unlock if you'd like to use Face ID or Touch ID. Your PIN is stored only as a one-way hash on your device — it is never sent to us.
Is the app PIN free?
Face ID unlock is available on every plan. The app PIN lock is part of Pro — set it up in Settings under App Lock, and your PIN is stored only as a one-way hash on your device.

Sync & backup

How do I turn on iCloud sync?
Sync is a Pro feature and is off by default. In Settings, enable cloud sync and sign in (Sign in with Apple or Google). Your content is encrypted on your device, then stored in your own private iCloud — Apple's CloudKit database, tied to your Apple account — and stays in sync across your devices signed in to the same account.
Where is my synced data stored?
In your own iCloud. EZ Save uses Apple's CloudKit private database, which lives in your personal Apple account alongside your other iCloud data. There is no EZ Save server holding your content, and signing in to the same Apple ID on a new device brings your library with it.
Is sync available on Android?
EZ Save is iOS-first today, with iPhone and iPad support and iCloud sync. A cross-platform version is on the roadmap.
Can I use the app without any cloud at all?
Yes. EZ Save is local-first. You can keep everything on your device and never turn on cloud sync — your library still works fully offline.

Billing & Pro

What do I get with Pro?
Face ID + app PIN lock, unlimited folders, iCloud sync across devices, smart folder suggestions, duplicate checks on import, custom app icons, and a completely ad-free experience. Pro is available monthly ($2.99) or annually ($17.99, with a 7-day free trial). Prices may vary by region.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through the App Store. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → EZ Save. Cancel at least 24 hours before a renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
How do I restore a previous purchase?
In the app's Settings, tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple ID you used to buy Pro. Your entitlement will be re-applied.
How do refunds work?
Because purchases are processed by Apple, refunds are handled through the App Store. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong on our end, email us and we'll help.

Privacy & data

Can you see what I save?
No. Your content is encrypted on your device before it's stored in your own iCloud — Apple's CloudKit private database, tied to your Apple account. There's no developer server storing your files, and we don't hold your key. For the full detail, see our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account and data?
In Settings, choose Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and associated data, including the encrypted cloud backup across your devices. On-device content can be removed by deleting items or uninstalling the app.
What is the AI folder suggestion, and is it private?
It's an optional Pro feature, off by default. When on, saving a link sends only that link's title, description and URL plus your folder names to suggest a match — never your files or media. You can turn it off anytime in Settings.

Troubleshooting

EZ Save doesn't appear in the share sheet
Open the share sheet, scroll the app row to the end, tap More, and enable EZ Save. Restarting your device once after install also helps iOS register the Share Extension.
My items aren't syncing between devices
Check that both devices are signed in to the same account with sync enabled, are connected to the internet, and are running the latest version of EZ Save. Sync runs in the background and may take a moment after large changes.
A saved link has no title or thumbnail
Link previews are fetched from the website itself. Some sites block preview requests or load content dynamically, so a title or image may be missing. You can rename the item manually.
I forgot my PIN
For your security, the PIN is stored only as a one-way hash on your device and cannot be recovered or reset by us. If you've forgotten it and have no access, the app data protected by that PIN can't be unlocked. Keep your PIN somewhere safe, like a password manager.
