Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Digital Sauce Pty Ltd ("Digital Sauce", "we", "us", or "our") and govern your use of the EZ Save mobile application and related services (together, the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

You can use core features of EZ Save without an account, including with an anonymous session. Some features — such as encrypted cloud sync across devices — require you to sign in (for example, with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google). You are responsible for maintaining the security of any credentials you use to access the App and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Licence to use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. This licence is also subject to the rules of the app store from which you obtained the App (for example, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement).

4. Your content & responsibilities

"Your Content" means the links, images, videos, documents, folders, names, and other materials you save or create in the App. As between you and Digital Sauce, you own and are responsible for Your Content. Because EZ Save stores Your Content on your device and, where you enable it, in your own encrypted cloud storage, we do not access, monitor, or moderate Your Content, and we do not claim any ownership of it.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to save and store Your Content and that doing so complies with applicable law and the rights of others.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to:

• store, distribute, or facilitate access to material that is unlawful, including child sexual abuse material or content that infringes others' intellectual-property or privacy rights;
• violate any applicable law or regulation;
• attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the App;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent permitted by law;
• use the App to harm, harass, or infringe the rights of others; or
• resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without our written permission.

Because of EZ Save's privacy-first, end-to-end-encrypted design, we generally cannot see Your Content and therefore cannot police it. Responsibility for lawful use rests with you.

6. Subscriptions & payment

EZ Save offers a free tier and an optional paid "Pro" subscription. Current Pro options include a monthly plan, an annual plan, and a one-time lifetime purchase; pricing is shown in the App and may vary by region, promotion, and over time. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and your payment is governed by that store's terms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of that period, unless you cancel through your app-store account settings.

7. Free trials & cancellation

We may offer a free trial (for example, on the annual plan). Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the trial will convert into a paid subscription at the then-current price. You can manage or cancel a subscription, and view renewal dates, in your Apple ID or Google account settings. Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by the relevant app store.

8. Encryption & data loss

EZ Save is designed so that, when you enable encrypted cloud backup, your content is encrypted on your device with a key that only you hold. This means that if you lose access to your device, your encryption key, or your recovery phrase, we cannot recover your encrypted content for you. You are responsible for safeguarding your recovery phrase and for maintaining your own backups where appropriate. We are not liable for any loss of Your Content arising from lost keys, lost devices, or your failure to retain recovery information.

9. Third-party services

The App relies on and interoperates with third-party services, including Apple iCloud / CloudKit, Apple and Google sign-in and app stores, Firebase, RevenueCat, and (where you enable optional AI suggestions) a third-party AI model provider. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Links you save may point to third-party websites that we do not control or endorse. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

10. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, branding, "EZ Save" name and logos, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Digital Sauce or its licensors and is protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited licence described in Section 3.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will meet your requirements. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you, and you may have additional consumer rights that these Terms do not limit.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Digital Sauce and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App. To the extent we are found liable, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (such as certain consumer guarantees).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Digital Sauce from any claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the App, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our own wrongdoing.

14. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account and data from within the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the App unlawfully. On termination, the licence in Section 3 ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

15. Changes to the App or Terms

We may update, add, or remove features of the App, and we may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to the Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing-law jurisdiction — to be completed before publishing], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
