Bookmarks first, or everything first?
Raindrop.io is built around the bookmark. It is very good at it: collections, tags, highlights, a preview of articles and videos, and a browser extension in every major browser.
EZ Save treats a link as one of five kinds of thing. A trip folder holds the booking PDF, the screenshots of directions, the reel you saved for a restaurant and a note with the plan, each in its own tab. If most of what you keep is not a web page, that difference matters more than any feature list.
Whose cloud holds your library?
Raindrop.io stores your library on its own cloud service under a Raindrop.io account. Its site says your data is never sold and it runs no ads or trackers, and the cloud is what lets it work in any browser and share collections with other people.
EZ Save runs no servers for your content. Your library sits in your own iCloud, encrypted on your device before it syncs, and you don’t need an EZ Save account. The trade-off is real: there is no web app and no shared folders.
Finding things again
Raindrop.io Pro searches the full text of saved pages, PDFs and even YouTube videos. That is hard to beat for research.
EZ Save reads the text inside your saved photos, screenshots and PDFs on your device, free on every plan, so a receipt, a ticket or a scanned letter turns up when you search a word written on it.
Who’s cheaper? 👀
For links alone, Raindrop.io’s free plan is more generous: unlimited bookmarks and collections. EZ Save’s free plan covers all five content types but stops at 3 folders.
On paid plans, EZ Save Pro is $2.99 a month or $17.99 a year. Raindrop.io shows Pro in your local currency; it was A$44.15 a year in Australia when we checked on October 20, 2026.
Not sure yet? Find what’s best for you
Pick EZ Save if…
- You save from your phone more than from a desktop browser
- You want photos, screenshots, PDFs and notes beside your links, in the same folder
- You’d rather keep your library in your own iCloud, with no extra account
- You use iPhone and Android, or switch between them
- You also want to split a bill from a receipt photo
Pick Raindrop.io if…
- You work in a browser on Windows, Linux or a shared computer
- You rely on tags, filters and full-text search of articles
- You share collections with a team or publish them
- You want permanent copies of pages and reminders
- You need integrations, an API or an MCP server
Both are good apps. The best one is the one that matches how you save.
